The Tour Divide, the longer of the two unsupported races tracing the Adventure Cycling Association's Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, starts June 12 in Banff, Alberta. As of this writing, 42 riders are signed up to attempt the 2,745-mile route tracing the Continental Divide all the way to Antelope Wells, N.M., including past winner Jay Petervary and Tracey Petervary, who will ride a tandem mountain bike. Expect folks to start finishing in early July. Last year's winner, Matthew Lee, finished the course in 19 days and 12 hours. Nine riders finished the race last year. The Great Divide Race, the "Original Divide Race," starts in Roosville, Mont., a week later. To follow the Tour Divide, check
