Seems toilet paper has become the latest environmental bugaboo. About time. Most of America's favorite toilet paper brands have zero recycled content and like many things in this world, except maybe economic bubbles, the U.S. lags far behind the rest of the world on this issue. And frankly most Americans don't care, as Runout pointed out the other day. But we do, here at GoBlog. Oh, and Rocky cares too.
I'm totally cool with a switch to more environmental toilet paper since I've lived and worked in Germany. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China you ask? Ahh, well, like the callused hands of a day laborer, I've conditioned my body for the rigors of using recycled toilet paper. Stuff in Germany is like sandpaper.
We at GoBlog have been at the forefront of alternative bathroom hygiene for years. In fact over the years, we've often discussed our favorite ways to stay clean in the backcountry in the office. It's ranged from snow to flat river rocks to sticks with moss. Runout seems to prefer socks. Even hands for those of us who have traveled through India. But we're hardy, like that. Some of your more traditional folks may prefer something a bit more toilet paper like, like say, these reusable toilet wipes that look strangely like, um, wash clothes. They're available from Wallypop in all sorts of colorful and whimsical patterns. Which will help you forget you've reusing your toilet paper. Hats off to the people at Wallypop for bringing fun back into the bathroom. Thanks Tim.
