For
one Swiss Franc, British entrepreneur Bruno Prior just bought himself a ski resort -- Ernen, a small Alpine hill in the Alps with four chairlifts and a couple of Snowcats. Residents of the village of Ernen are hoping Prior's investments and plans to revive the resort will also save the town, which has been languishing since skier visits started dropping in the early '90s. Investors from all over the globe expressed interest in the resort, but the village liked Prior's ideas the best. This story reminds me of the years Marshall Mountain in Montana was for sale -- they even put it on eBay and started bids at $1 million.
