Professional skier Jamie Pierre was killed killed yesterday in an avalanche at Snowbird. Pierre, 38, was a backcountry legend, appearing in countless ski films and magazine shoots, always pushing extreme skiing to new limits. Earlier this year set a world record with a 255-foot jump cliff jump. He is survived by his wife and two children. Condolences to all his friends and family.
