After reading about the SAR up in WA this week, seeing the heartbreaking picture of what looked to be another SAR body recovery but wasn't, we wanted to take a moment to thank you guys/gals for all the good work you do keeping people safe in the outdoors. The story of the polar bear attack on a group of British youths camping in Norway is horrifying, the fact that more weren't killed is amazing and from what we read, a testament to the courage of campers that fought off and eventually shot to death, the polar bear. The investigation continues into how the bear was able to get into the camp unnoticed despite a tripwire designed to alert the campers, while the survivors recover. One of the boys that fought of the bear with his hands, just had surgery to remove one of the bear's teeth from his skull. Sheesh.
