Muriel Foster's Fishing Diary is a 36-year journal (1913-1949) kept by an English aristocrat who obviously loved fishing more than she loved aspic. Yeah aspic, it's the first aristocratic thing that came to mind. She was evidently a bit of an artist, so the journal entries include wonderful pictures of the fish, flies, etc. she used. She also seemed to be a bit obsessive compulsive, taking detailed notes of all the fish she caught until she couldn't hold a pen any more due to arthritis. She's kind of like me, except I don't have a dime to my name, couldn't tell an oil paint from a water color, and have the writing skill of a 3rd grader.
