From the Bar 10 landing strip, a helicopter takes you deep into the depths of the Grand Canyon to join the raft and crew. After floating gently during orientation and welcoming introductions, you'll encounter Kolb and Mile 207 rapids, both big plunges. On the second day, you'll enter lower Granite Gorge with a series of moderate rapids, including Granite Spring, Diamond Creek and Travertine rapids. You'll stop and spend some time hiking and exploring at magnificent Travertine Canyon. As you near the head of Lake Mead, the water becomes calmer and the canyon widens. Mid-morning on day three, you'll transfer to a jet boat that will speed you across the lake to a waiting motorcoach for your return to Las Vegas.
