We fly out of exotic Kathmandu to the remote mountain town of Lukla to begin this trek up the Khumbu Valley to Everest Base Camp. Our high point on the trek is at 18450ft on top of Kala Pattar. From here we have a stunning view of Everest and the amphitheater of the Himalayas. To get to Base Camp we follow an ancient route through tiny villages, dense forests, terraced fields, and across high mountain passes. Along the way, we visit monasteries and bamp beneath the highest mountains in the world!
On our trek, you will actually spend two nights at the famous Everest Base Camp where you will have the opportunity to meet the Everest climbers before you hike to the foot of the Khumbu Ice Fall. This blend of outdoor adventure and cultural exploration is a first-rate way to experience the inspirational beauty of the Himalayas.
