2 1/2 Day Rafting Trip on the Flathead River

Montana Raft Company has been guiding rafting trips on the North and Middle Forks of the Flathead river since 1987, using the same high standards that make our backpacking trips so successful. Whether you join us for a half-day whitewater trip or an extended overnight float, you can expect a great ride from our friendly, experienced guides.

We offer two types of raft trips, paddle or row. In a row boat you can sit back, relax and take in all the scenery as the guide propels and maneuvers the raft down the river with two large oars. On the other hand, if you want to take part in the action, you will prefer a paddle raft. Following the simple commands of the guide, you actually become part of the crew. This is definitely the most exciting way to float a river.

For the extra adventurous, try a ride in an inflatable kayak. These stable two person craft offer a sportier paddling experience with wetsuit and helmet included. In short, we will show you the river however you want to see it.

Our rivers, the Middle and North Forks of the Flathead, make up the western boundary of Glacier National Park, offering serenity amidst spectacular scenery. All half and full day trips are run on the Middle Fork, which offers a variety of class two and three rapids in the John Stevens Canyon. These intermediate rapids are fun and splashy without being dangerous.
