During the summer months of July, August, and September, we focus fly fishing attention on the streams and lakes of the 7,000-8,800' elevation. On this trip we'll fish a stream one day and an alpine lake on the other. All beginning fly fishing instruction is covered while focus is on still water and stream techniques, locating fish, nymphing and dry fly fishing. We camp at a historic, rustic mountain pack station for the weekend. Our professional guides have spent years perfecting their skills in and around Yosemite and look forward to not only teaching you about fly fishing but showing you the Sierra high country.
Stay at our wilderness camp at the 7,000' elevation deep in the Yosemite backcountry. We'll fish a stream one day and an alpine lake the next. Groups are small, 2-4 guests per guide, ensuring personalized, private instruction and guiding. These trips are a great opportunity to enter the world of fly fishing or increase your skills. We provide healthy breakfasts & dinners at our camp, and enjoy full days wade fishing, returning in the evening for a relaxing campfire, and fish tales. In addition to camp accommodations, expert guides, and dinners & breakfasts, we also provide rods/reels, flies, and two-day licenses.
