Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Summers are generally cloudy and cool, but clear, hot days are not uncommon in July. August and September tend to be cool and wet. Fall can be delightfully clear, but the season is short. Winters are cold, with temperatures dropping to 50 below zero. Average winter snow cover is 2 ft.
