George D. Aiken Wilderness is perpetually wet from rain and snowmelt. Otherwise, expect the four distinct seasons that typify New England weather. Winters are cold and snowy. Spring is cool and can be quite wet and muddy. Summers can be hot and humid with highs in the 80's. Fall is cool and crisp.
