Canyonlands National Park

This is a "high desert" region of wide temperature fluctuations. The temperate seasons are April to May and mid-September to October, when highs average 60 to 80F and lows average 30 to 50F. Precipitation is highest during this time.

In the summer it is often over 100F, and the late summer "monsoon" season brings violent storm cells. Winters are cold, with highs of 30 to 50F and lows of zero to 20F.
