The park is located on a 1,950-acre peninsula along Lake Allatoona and is ideal for swimming, boating and fishing. A special feature is the abundant wildlife, and visitors are encouraged to see a reconstructed 1860s homestead from Georgia's past. Annual Events include Pioneer History Weekend, Memorial Day Celebration, Funtastic Fourth of July, Labor Day Extravaganza, and a Homestead Christmas Celebration.
