Hyde Memorial State Park ![]() The unique beauty and natural wonders at Hyde Park make it an unforgettable reminder of nature's complexity. Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the park is vegetated with dense stands of evergreens, as well as aspen and shrubs. As a natural refuge for wildlife, the park provides the opportunity for quiet and cautious visitors to view deer, raccoon, fox, coyote, squirrels, porcupine, and numerous species of butterflies and birds. Sledding and cross-country skiing are delightful winter diversions in the snow-carpeted Hyde Park mountains. Enjoy camping and picknicking among towering pines and aspen trees.
