Greenwood Furnace State Park




Greenwood Furnace was the site of an active iron furnace community from 1834 to 1904. Historical programming rovides a glimpse into the past. The visitor center is a restored blacksmith shop that was part of the community. Along he Mid-State Trail to the Greenwood Forest Fire Lookout Tower, you can view charcoal hearths where wood was made into charcoal.

  • Visit the visitor center, a restored blacksmith shop, and pick up a map of the park trails while you are there.
