Haleakala National Park

Kipahulu
The majestic Waimoku Falls is a main feature of this region, and a reward for intrepid hikers. Sky watching is also sublime here. The visual horizon in many places of the park is 115 miles out to sea. Even cloudy skies can offer amazing sights, including rainbows, moonbows, and the mysterious glory of halos that sometimes appear around your own shadow.

Permit Information

Information Center
