Stevensville Ranger District
Stevensville Ranger District is the nothernmost District on the Bitterroot Forest and comprises most of the north end of the Bitterroot Valley. The Headquarters is at Stevensville, but the district also includes the communities of Florence, Victor, and Corvallis.

The area is rich in history. Originally, this part of the valley was home to wandering tribes of Native Americans until it was settled permanently by the Salish or Flathead Indians during the 19th century. Stevensville is also the site of the first permanent European settlement in Montana.
