Salem District
Located just a couple of hours from St. Louis, the Salem Ranger District provides an opportunity to get back to nature with numerous recreational activities and an abundance of plant and animal life. Most of its recreation sites offer camping, fishing, and hiking. Visitors may also enjoy a picnic, swim, or a motorcycle ride while visiting the Salem District. Recreation areas include Little Scotia Pond, Loggers Lake, Huzzah Pond, and Sutton Bluff.



Permit Information
No permit needed.

Directions
To Little Scotia Pond: From Bunker, 9.2 miles northwest on Hwy. 72; 0.5 miles southwest on Forest Rd. 2341. To Loggers Lake: From Bunker, 0.2 miles west on Hwy. A; 6 miles southwest on Forest Road 2221; 0.5 miles southeast on FR 2193.

There is a District Office in Salem (573-729-6656).
