Houston/Rolla District
This area, part of the Salem Plateau, is typically hilly, but unlike most hills and mountains, the rolling terrain of the Houston/Rolla District was formed by the erosion of streams and rivers. With 6 district recreation sites, the Hoston/Rolla District provides a unique variety of experiences for camper and hiker alike. There are 4 unique regions within this district, including: Paddy Creek Wilderness, Slabtown Recreation Area, Kaintuck Hollow Area, and Lane Spring, all of which demonstrate the variety of Ozark terrain.
