Mi-Wok
Mi-Wok District encompasses the lower Highway 108 corridor offering a plentitude of hiking opportunities. Many of the dayhikes follow historic railroad beds. Many areas of the Mi-Wok Ranger District are open and accessible to those who enjoy biking. One popular bike route, the Sugar Pine Railroad Grade, parallels the South Fork of the Stanislaus River and overlays the historic Sugar Pine Railroad System.

The Mi-Wok Region also offers riding opportunities for motorcycles, ATVs, and four-wheel drives. 3 riding areas offer a variety of terrain and vegetation from brush fields and rock to dense forest and open grasslands. Operator difficulty ranges from beginner routes on forest roads to most difficult on numerous trails.
