Schoodic Peninsula
The Schoodic Penninsula is home to the jagged coastline and rocky beaches for which Maine is famous. A one-way road runs along the penninsula to Schoodic Point, at the most southern extent of the peninsula, where the U.S. Navy maintains a Naval Reserve.



Permit Information
No backcountry camping is permitted in Acadia.

Directions
The Schoodic Peninsula can be reached by Maine 186, 6 miles south of West Gouldsboro.

Information Center
There is a ranger station located down an unpaved road on the way to Schoodic Point.
