Grand Teton National Park

JDR Jr. Memorial Parkway
The Teton Range tapers to a gentle slope at its northern edge, which lies within the area encompassed by the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway. Rocks born of volcanic flows from Yellowstone line the Snake River here, and form outcroppings scattered atop hills and ridges.

Permit Information
You may camp anywhere that lies 1 mile or further from a road or trailhead. No backcountry permit is required.

Directions
The Parkway lies just north of Grand Teton National Park along the main park road, in between Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The road that runs through the Parkway is 8 miles long.

Information Center
There is an Information Station at Flagg Ranch Village. It features information and books about philanthropist John D. Rockefeller and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
