Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Clingmans Dome
At 6,643 feet in elevation, Clingmans Dome is the highest peak in the Smokies and the third-highest mountain east of the Mississippi. On clear days, the observation tower on the summit of the mountain offers spectacular 360-degree views of the Smokies and beyond. Vistors flock here to take in the sweeping views, and to watch the sunset over this breathtaking landscape.
