Brighton Recreation Area  The Brighton Recreation Area is located 5 miles west of the interchange of I-96 and US-23 near Brighton. From Detroit: Exit 147 (Spencer Road) off I-96. Go west (right) about 6 miles to Chilson Road. Turn left 1.5 miles to first gravel road, which is Bishop Lake Road. Park headquarters is on your right. For further directions go to:
