From Warren follow US 62 West for 6 miles to Buckaloons Recreation Area. Continue on US 62 as it winds south and west along the Allegheny River. The first Wilderness Island, Crull's, lies about one mile south of Buckaloons. Thompson's Island is approximately one mile south of Crull's and R. Thompson's lies about one mile south of Thompson's. Courson Island is located near Tidioute, about 29 miles south of Buckaloons. King Island is situated near East Hickory, about seven miles north of Tionesta. Baker and No Name Islands lie close together, approximately two miles south of King Island.
