From the South: Take I 87 N to exits 20 - 39 (or US 9).

From the East: From MA and points south access I 90 and then I 87 or US Rte 9 heading north. From Vermont and New Hampshire, cross Lake Champlain by ferry or at Crown Point Bridge (Vermont Hwy 17 with Essex County Rte 8). US Rte 4 connects with NY Rte 22, for access to the southeastern portion of the Park.

From the West: Take the NY State Thruway (I 90) to exits 31 - 24.

From the North: A number of bridges crossing the St. Lawrence River provide access to hwys the connect to NY State Rtes 3, 30 and 812.
