Barton Creek Greenbelt consists of 809 wooded acres along 7.9 miles of winding creekside in the vicinity of Loop 360, Mopac/Loop 1, and US 290. The Zilker Trailhead, at the eastern end of the Greenbelt, is reachable via IH-35: take the Riverside Drive exit west to Barton Springs Rd., turn left, travel 1.3 miles into Zilker Park, turn left into the Zilker parking lot and follow signs to the trailhead and pool area. The middle of the Greenbelt is easily accessible from a parking lot off westbound Loop 360 between Lamar Blvd. And Mopac/Loop 1.
