From U.S. 12 in Lowell, take Forest Road 223, an unimproved dirt road, and follow Selway River for approximately 20 miles. Turn north on Forest Road 319, which winds uphill to Big Fog Saddle (this road is steep and windy).

From Darby, take U.S. 93 south for approximately 8 miles to Conner. Turn southwest on FR 473 and continue for approximately 12 miles, then go west on FR 468 (Magruder Corridor) for 16.4 miles to Nez Perce Pass.
