Dead Horse Ranch State Park is located across the river to the north of the community of Cottonwood in Verde Valley. From Flagstaff, take 89A south. Enter on North 5th St. off U.S. 89A. From the junction of U.S. 89A and SR 260, go northwest .6 miles on U.S. 89A to Main St. Then go northwest two miles to North 10th St.; then go northeast .6 miles.
