Humboldt National Forest  The Forest headquarters office is in Elko, Nevada. From Salt Lake City, UT: Take I-80 W to Elko, NV. From Reno, NV: Take I-80 E to Elko, NV. The forest is comprised of several geographically separated units spread across the state of Nevada. Directions to get there can best be obtained by contacting the forest.
