Visitor Center: Information is available at the Ranger Stations in the Forest.

Programs: A Forest Service naturalist lectures during summer weekends at Sandia Crest about the natural history of the mountain. The Tijeras Pueblo Ruins site adjacent to the Sandia Ranger Station is a popular year-round educational destination and offers several summer programs.
