Operating Hours
Open yea-round. Cravens House is open on a limited, seasonal basis.

Visitation
Highest in July, lowest in January and February.

Permits
Reservations are required for a group guided tour of the battlefield areas and should be made at least two weeks in advance of the visit. Permits are required for various events including wedding ceremonies, religious services, and commercial filming.

Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Centers: The Chickamauga Visitor Center has historic exhibits. The Point Park Visitor Center has a signaling exhibit. Ochs Museum in Point Park houses a soldiers' exhibit and an exhibit of the dedication of the National Military Park.

Programs: Daily walking and car caravan tours are offered in the summer season along with living history rifle and signaling demonstrations. Special programs (guided tours of several battlefield areas, and Civil War encampments) are presented at Chickamauga battlefield and Lookout Mountain to commemorate the battles of Chickamauga and Chattanooga.

Food Supplies and Concessions
Food/Supplies: Restaurants and grocery stores are available thoughout the greater Chattanooga area.

Concessions: Bookstores at Chickamauga Battlefield and Point Park Visitor Centers are managed by Eastern National.

Visitor Impact
Metal detectors are prohibited in the park. Horseback riding is limited to designated trails only. Bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted on park trails.
