Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Center: The Visitor Contact Station and Park Headquarters are in the Island Ford Unit.
Food Supplies and Concessions
Concessions: Canoe and raft rental available beginning weekends in May and daily Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. There are rental sites and concession stores at Johnson Ferry, Powers Island, and Paces Mill Units. A shuttle bus runs between sites.

The water temperature of the Chattahoochee River is about 55 degrees Fahrenheit year round -- good for trout but so cold it could cause hypothermia. State law requires that each person aboard a vessel have an approved personal floatation device. The Park closes at dark. For more information call (404)399-8070.
