Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Center: There are visitor centers at the Nature Center and Planetarium and at Pierce Mill. The Nature Center is located at 5200 Glover Road just south of Military Road

Programs: Regularly scheduled ranger-guided walks, talks, and ranger-led planetarium shows are available year-round. Evening stargazing sessions, run in conjunction with the National Capital Astronomers, are held approximately monthly, April through November.

Food Supplies and Concessions
Food/Supplies: Food and supplies are available in surrounding Washington and vicinity.

Concessions: Rock Creek Horse Center, near the Nature Center on Glover Road, offers trail rides, horse rentals and riding instructions. Call 202-362-0117 for more information. There is a public 18-hole golf course with a greens fee, golf cart and golf club rental at 16th and Rittenhouse roads. Call 202-882-7332 for more information. There are bookstores at the Nature Center and Planetarium, Pierce Mill, and the Old Stone House.

Sections of Beach Drive through Rock Creek Park are closed on weekends and holidays to vehicular traffic. Areas of Beach drive that are closed may be used for bicycling and other non-vehiclar activities. Some park roads may be closed during snowy or icy conditions.
