Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Center: There are visitor centers at Rainy Lake, Kabetogama Lake, and Ash River.

Programs: In the summer season, naturalists offer interpretive walks, evening programs, children's activities, canoe trips, a junior ranger program, and North Canoe Voyages. In winter, the park offers a candlelight ski, a snowshoe hike, and a starlight wolf howl. Throughout the year resource educators present programs to learners of all ages at park sites and offsite locations. There are also special events year-round; call for information.

Food Supplies and Concessions
Food/Supplies: There are restaurants and grocery and specialty stores near the park. Many resorts sell gas dockside.

Concessions: Free canoes and/or rowboats are available on these interior lakes of the Kabetogama Peninsula: Locator, Quill, Ek, Cruiser, Brown, Perry, Little Shoepack, and Shoepack. These boats are largely first-come, first-served; reservations can be made one week in advance at visitor centers.

Water taxis to trailheads can be arranged. There are boat tours, watercraft rental, and water taxi service at Ash River, Crane Lake, International Falls, and Lake Kabetogama.

Visitor Impact

Additional Information
Voyageurs is a water-based park. Access to the Kabetogama Peninsula, the islands, and nearly all of the park's shoreline is by watercraft.
