Backcountry permits for camping and hiking are not required; however there are rules and regulations governing one's behavior in all national park areas.

Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Center: There is a national park field headquarters with a post office, lodgings, restaurants, and private airstips in the southwestern area of the park on Lake Clark itself.

Food/Supplies: Restaurant and limited supplies available at the national park field headquarters.

No designated trails exist in Lake Clark National Park. It is complete wilderness and preparation is important for your safety and enjoyment. Leave an itinerary at field headquarters at Port Alsworth before departing into the backcountry.
