Visitation
Highest between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Permits
Climbers must register before and immediately upon completion of climb.

Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Center: Located at the end of the park road at the base of the Tower. Includes exhibits and a Natural History Association bookstore. Open April- October.

Programs: Regularly scheduled summer walks, talks, and evening campfire programs. Junior Ranger program available at the Visitor Center. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is held the second week in August, and the park is very crowded.

Food Supplies and Concessions
Food/Supplies: None inside park, some immediately outside entrance and plenty in neighboring communities.

Concessions: Natural History Association bookstore in Visitor Center.

Visitor Impact
If you plan to climb the tower, keep in mind park regulations. There will be no new physical impacts to the rock. Out of respect to American Indian beliefs, there is a voluntary closure to climbing during the month of June.
