Visitor center: There is no visitor center within the Ft. Pierre National Grassland. However there are ranger stations located within the Nebraska National Forest.

Food Supplies and Concessions
Food/Supplies: Food and supplies are not available within the Ft. Pierre National Grassland. However, ample food and supplies are available within the Nebraska National Forest and its surrounding communities.

Visitor Impact
The availability of drinking water out on the FPNG is low.It is strongly recommend that you pack your own water on the grassland. There are many stock ponds that animals could drink from and an occasional water hydrant located by livestock tanks. Ponds (1-20 acres in size) support large-mouthed bass and panfish. Ice fishing is popular during winter months.
