Permits
Backcountry camping is allowed at various locations throughout the park. Before camping in the backcountry, campers should check with a ranger or at the park office for information.

Visitors Center and Programs
Visitors Center: The State Forest State Park Visitors Center is along the Cache la Poudre River-North Park State Scenic Byway. A kiosk in the facility gives colorful explanations about this scenic byway. The visitor center hosts interactive displays on the local wildlife and the park itself. Stop by and see the 7-foot barbwire moose that greets visitors outside the center.

Programs: Interpretive programs are offered during the summer at various locations throughout the forest.
