Permits
Groups of 25 or more need to get advance permission to enter the park from the site superintendent.

Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Center: Plan on a 30-minute or so stop at the visitor center for a video presentation of the park that will acquaint you with the area, and the center's nature displays.

Programs: The park interpreter presents different weekend programs year-round. Lectures and guided hikes are also available for groups giving a two-week notice.

Food Supplies and Concessions
Food/Supplies: A concession stand which offers a large selection of live bait, a full lunch menu, fishing boat and duck boat rentals is located at nearby Heidecke Lake.

Visitor Impact
Pets must be kept on leashes at all times.

Additional Information
Heidecke Lake, adjacent to Goose Lake Prairie, offers fishing, hunting and boat launching exclusively for those purposes.
