The Southern Unit of Kettle Moraine is more heavily used than the Northern.

Permits
Horseback riders and mountain bikers must have a state trail pass: $3 per day or $10 annual. Backcountry camping is permitted on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.

Visitor Center: The visitor center features a museum and auditorium, and is located on Route 59/County NN between Eagle and Palmyra, WI.
