Permits
No permit needed for camping or hiking, but a permit is required to ride trails in the Chadwick and Sutton Bluff Motorcycle Use Areas.
Visitors Center and Programs
Visitor Center: District ranger offices are located throughout the Forest. The Cedar Creek District Office serves as an outlet for the Eastern National Forest Interpretive Association and has a variety of field identification books available for sale, as well as district T-shirts, hats, patches and Smokey Bear items.
Food Supplies and Concessions
Food/Supplies: Restaurants and stores are located throughout the Forest.
Concessions: Many private outfitters rent boats within the Forest.
Visitor Impact
Visitors should beware of poison ivy, ticks, and poisonous snakes.
Always treat surface water before drinking it.
