Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness and Preserve ![]() The 19,410 acres embraced by Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness include the 11-mile long Aravaipa Canyon, its surrounding tablelands, and the side canyons. You will find thriving native desert fish, desert bighorn sheep, and over 200 species of birds. Primitive camping with no facilities is available at the trailheads of Turkey Creek in the east side, and Brandenberg in the west side. To find developed campgrounds travel about 10 miles from the east trailhead to Fourmile Canyon.
