Stehekin, in the heart of Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, is a remote community situated along the lower few miles of the Stehekin River. It is a small community with no road connections to the rest of the world, making it a pleasant escape from life's frantic pace. Visitors and residents arrive by passenger ferry or private boat, hiking, horseback, or float plane.
