Golden Gate Canyon State Park ![]() Over 35 miles of hiking trails in the park offer pleasures and challenges for everyone. Twelve trails at Golden Gate Canyon are each named after an animal and marked with the animal's footprint. The difficulty of the trail is indicated by the background shape of the trail marker. Circles denote easy trails, squares are moderate, and diamonds mark the difficult trails. Trailheads with parking areas are easily accessible from the main roads in the park.
