Currently, the Carrizo Plain Natural Area has two designated campgrounds, the KCL and the Selby camping areas. Camping is on a first come, first served basis and no reservations are required; groups of 20 or more must obtain authorization from the Bakersfield BLM office. Both campgrounds are primitive, containing picnic tables, fire pits and portable restroom facilities. Electricity and drinking water are not available. There is no fee for using the campgrounds.
