In some areas, such as state parks, developed campgrounds lie along the Florida National Scenic Trail. These usually charge a per night fee. More remote areas such as national forests and Big Cypress National Preserve offer free backcountry camping. On some sections of the trail that have recently been opened, campsites may not have been established yet, making it difficult to find a place to camp. Plan your trip accordingly.
