Green Mountain National Forest
Developed camping is available for those who prefer to drive to their campsites. There are 5 campgrounds accessible by car on the Forest with a total of 91 campsites. You may reserve sites at Hapgood Pond Campground; the other 4 are first-come, first-served. Two additional campgrounds that are accessible only by hiking provide a different type of recreational experience. Primitive camping is available throughout the Forest at no charge.

Greendale Campground Tents and RVs. 2 miles north of Weston on Route 100. Look for Forest Road 18. Turn and go 2 miles northwest. Grout Pond Campground Tents and RVs. 4 of the campsites are accessible by canoe. Grout Pond is a fragile land and water resource area. Camp only at designated sites. Chittenden Brook Campground Tents; Vehicle/trailer length limited to 18 feet. 5 miles west of Route 100 on Route 73. Look for Forest Road 45 turn, and go south 2.5 miles. Moosalamoo Campground Tents; RVs. One mile east of Ripton on Route 125. Look for Forest Road 32 also known as the Ripton-Goshen Road. Turn onto Forest Road 32 and go south for 3.2 miles.
