American Holly American holly, whose red berries grace many an arrangement of wreath at Christmas time, is a dioecious species. The staminate flower is borne on one tree while the pistillate flow occurs on another. Red Cockaded Woodpecker The Red Cockaded Woodpecker is one of the birds that uses this Forest as a relaxing stopover on its way south to Florida. Sundews These carnivorous plants are abundant throughout the forest.
